Meet Camille

Born and raised in the PNW, Camille Shu currently resides in Portland, OR but spent the first 20 years of her life in Seattle, WA. She is both obsessed with and cares deeply for this area of the world. Her work is a celebration of beauty. She focuses on native plants, seasonal produce, surrounding landscapes, and color (which sometimes means traveling to Mexico to paint some tropical fruits). It is her hope that by bringing attention to the beauty around us, we can foster a deeper connection and thus care for the places we call home. Her career as an artist has been complemented by work as a florist, farmer, and gardener – all jobs that have deepened her appreciation for the natural world and been major sources of inspiration for her artistic practice. She currently works as a landscape designer while using her spare time to do what she loves – paint.
